I agreed to pinch hit for go_exchange in December, because I thought it would be fun and I wanted something other than finals to drive me insane. And because the Good Omens fandom works in mysterious ways, I ended up getting a wonderful, amazing fic The Last Most Beautiful Day in the World from bookshop and writing for no one in particular. Anyone familiar with Good Omens should totally check out go_exchange for all the incredible fic and art . . . Really it’s so good.

Notes: This fic isn't quite like anything I’ve written before, but I think it’s recognizable as mine. I’m still amazed that I managed to get it in on time, if 1:00 in the morning on the last day of the exchange can be considered on time.

I haven’t been getting any comment notifications or reply notifications for the comments I make, so I apologize if I’ve missed anything or started a discussion and disappeared. I try to check back on posts I comment to, but I’ve been having a hard time keeping track.

Well, it's my Birthday. It hasn't been especially happy so far because I've been buried in a sea of Environmental Economics homework, but I will soon swim my way out, and there’s cake in the freezer . . . it’s not actually supposed to be in the freezer, but my dad mistakenly thought it was an ice cream cake and put it there, and now we’re worried that if we take it out it will get really mushy and gross . . . Good times!

One of the artists at fanart_fairy made lovely art for my almost Harry/Ron fic, and it’s so perfect and amazing and done for my absolute favorite scene* out of all the fics I’ve written. Many thanks to waxbean for pointing it out to me.

This is the first I’ve heard of fanart_fairy, and it’s such a neat idea. I’ve read so many of the fics that inspired art there, and it’s very cool to see them illustrated. Go look at everything!

*My second favorite scene involves Harry and Dudley kissing inside a dumpster and is definitely best left to the imagination.

Because I’ve been in an odd mood lately and because my computer’s been cruelly eating all my bookmarks, I’ve started keeping links to fics I’ve especially enjoyed in private LJ posts categorized in ways comprehensible to no one but myself. Then when I was in an even odder mood, I decided to code them all and put them in a hopefully discernable order. It was hard.

Incase anyone’s interested, here’s the List. There are about 290 fics there so far, and I’ll probably add more to it sometime in the future . . . the far distant future . . .

This is a list of fics I like. I know there are many fics that I’ve forgotten to include and many fics I’m trying to track down through broken links and deleted websites, and I haven’t even begun to code for quite a few pairings, but even though the list is not at all complete, I’m fairly sure all the fics here are.

Make sure to read ratings and warnings if they could concern you. My tastes are generally pretty tame, but there’s a bit of everything here.

I made some corrections to most of my recent fics. I hope I fixed up most of the lingering errors in Shadow Boxing, and I think I made the ending to How We Shine a little clearer, though it’s hard to tell, because everything confuses me. And somehow Save One Thing got about 400 words longer . . . because, yeah, it wasn’t long enough already.

I also wrote a drabble about Dudley. Actually, I wrote a few, but this was the least embarrassing ( one. ) And I doodled some pictures on art pad of Dudley and Ron. They're not very good.
